About the Haramain High-Speed Railway
Haramian High-Speed Railway plays a significant role in the transportation system during the Hajj season. In the holy city of Medina, its operational plan has been estimated to incorporate around 3,4800 trips.
The Haramain Train covers 450 km and has a speed of 300 km/h. The train service has been introduced to provide a quick and efficient service for travelers. The construction of the project started in March 2009, and service was offered to the public in October 2018.
Passenger Capacity on Haramain High-speed Train
There are 113 business class seats on each train, of which 2 are reserved for people with disabilities. The seats are spacious and comfortable. These seats have a foldable armrest, headrest, power plug, and video screen. It offers around 1.6 million seats to serve the visitors and pilgrims coming to Medina.
Facilities on Train
On the fifth coach of the train, a cafeteria is located, and passengers are offered food as soon as they get on board.
Tip: It is advised to the passengers to carry their food as food served on the train could be expensive.

There is an easy process through which travelers verify their reservations, head to the departure hall, and board the train.
Various Facilities at Medinah Station
Medinah train station is fully equipped to cater to the needs of travelers and pilgrims. The parking section is below the station. There are self-service kiosks for ticketing and reservations. At the station, there are offices for information and assistance. The building of the station has multiple departure and arrival halls that are sufficient to handle the huge influx of pilgrims in the days of Hajj and Ramazan. Moreover, special halls are used on days of peak rush.
Some companies also offer housing and car rental services at the station. To address the medical issues, a permanent health centre is also available to provide immediate on-site medical assistance.

- Makkah
Makkah railway station is 3.5 km away from Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah Al Mukarramah.
- Al-Sulimaniyah
Al-Sulimaniyah Jeddah Railway Station is located 20 km away from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- Airport Jeddah
Jeddah Airport Railway Station is within the Main Airport Terminal Building located at King Abdulaziz International Airport. The station helps accommodate many travelers, especially during the Hajj and Ramazan seasons.
- KAEC
KAEC Railway Station is located at the Hejaz Gate of King Abdullah Economic City. It is 18 km away from King Abdullah Port, Saudi Arabia.
- Medinah
Madinah Railway Station is in the Al Hadra District. It is 9 Km away from, Madinah, Saudi Arabia
